ABOUT THE DESIGN
Our Rachel Carson design reflects the intensity and dedication this early environmental activist displayed in her efforts to educate society on the damage of human intervention in the natural world. The microscope she uses represents her disciplined and life-long study of nature. The background’s loan bird and barren forest evokes the title of her most important book, Silent Spring. The quotation was chosen to encapsulate her underlying philosophy.
