ABOUT THE DESIGN
Leonardo daVinci, arguably the world’s greatest painter, is usually depicted as an old man. Here, a younger rendition (based on a self portrait) contemplates his drawing of Vitruvian Man in the background. Purportedly the drawing, made in 1490 shows the perfect proportions of the human body. The quote references the great number of works the artist left incomplete.
